Volunteer Information

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Firm Foundation! Whether you are looking to obtain your high school volunteer hours, build your resume and obtain valuable childcare experience or simply give back to your community, we welcome you! Volunteer opportunities are available during our After School Program, March Break and Summer Camps.

 

High school volunteers must be a minimum of 16 years of age (or turning 16 by December 31) and will earn their volunteer hours. There is a mandatory training session and a commitment to helping the entire camp week.​

If you are 18 years or older, a valid criminal reference check issued within the past 6 months is required.​​​

Your Role as a Volunteer:

  • Get to know and engage with Campers

  • Assist Campers where needed

  • ​Help maintain a tidy space, assisting with cleaning up after activities

  • Help Camp Counsellors set up and facilitate activities 

  • Be a positive role model

  • Help maintain a safe, positive and inclusive environment! 

  • Have FUN while helping others have FUN!
